My province's tourism really kicked off when a group of young people dedicated their hearts to advise the province on tourism development ideas. Since then, the project with the motto "Developing tourism not only for economic benefit, but also for the responsibility and pride of the homeland and the country" has been approved and implemented. Thus, that motto covers 3 elements "economy", "responsibility" and "pride". Of these 3 factors, "economy" is easy to understand. Tourism is a service business, but what you say business must be oriented towards profit. But the concepts "responsibility" and "pride" are difficult to "measure, count". Because it is invisible, many people are distracted and ambiguous.

Recall, the consultant team has been diligently analyzing and comparing tourism resources of their province with other localities to find similarities, compare differences, from there, identify strengths and weaknesses, advantages. and difficulty. And also from here, the province has positioned tourism development as one of the major decisions for the development. Also from the idea of ​​the Project, the slogan "Dong Thap - Pure as a lotus soul", the image of a funny and dynamic Lotus, the name "Dat Sen Hong" was born and gradually spread near and far. Many models of community based tourism, ecotourism and agricultural tourism have been opened to welcome visitors. "The guild together to do tourism" shows that tourism people know how to connect with each other to create more resources, share knowledge, skills, and give each other energy.

This world tourism industry has existed for hundreds of years, meanwhile, Dong Thap has just "groped" for a few years! Tourism is a type of service with multidisciplinary nature, with both economic factors and cultural and social factors. Tourism requires a lot of knowledge, skills, professional training, and it takes many years to be awarded degrees, certificates and practice. One has to go many places to compare, analyze, learn, update the new, the good. Thinking back to me, how many people are managers, brothers in tourism advisory agencies, people directly engaged in tourism business? Over and over, most of them just passed a few short-term, high-awareness classes, and then managed specialized disciplines with which decrees, circulars, and professional guidance regulations. In fact, if we learn, knowledge is just general theory, each person needs to transform into his own. The problem is knowing that I still have many unknown things to try to learn, study anytime and anywhere, study at anyone better than me. Learn how to do better each day, not get done and done.

Saying that, to see the journey to turn tourism into "golden chicken" as metaphor of many people is far away. That said, so as not to have "self-content" with the initial results praised by the media. Saying that, to see that there are still too many things to do, it needs to be done in order not to become duller like this place or place. To do so, to answer the question, the managers of the tourism industry, are imbued with how to do for "responsibility", how to do for "pride"?

Travel, in any form, requires new things, what you have that others do not have. It is also that space, but the space for organizing tourism must have "soul", must blend between nature and culture of tourists. It is also that dish, but the dish served for tourism must create a harmony of the community, local culture, and connect people together. That same garden, but the tourist garden must have a metaphor for a philosophical story of life. It is also a souvenir, but a gift for tourism should be made to surprise guests with the crystallized talent in it. Each tourist attraction preparing to open must answer questions together: What's the difference? What's newer than the existing one? What creates value for the community? What story do I want to tell visitors?

"Tourism development is not only for economic benefit", it means that it also has higher values ​​than the statistics of tourist arrivals, contributing to the local budget. The core value of tourism is to proudly present the image of the land and its people. But, only when the managers and organizations of tourism services are imbued with the words "responsibility" and "pride", that day, the tourism of our hometown will develop sustainably. These two words complement each other, blending together to become "what you have but others don't"!
